Rated 4 de 5 de par Great sound! Setup was a breeze, even setting our U-Verse remote to the system was a snap. Sound quality is excellent, one of the best sounding sound bars I have ever heard. Especially in this price range. The only major flaw I found is that when you turn on the sound bar to listen to music through Bluetooth, the bar automatically turns the tv on. Which is annoying because there is no point in your tv being on if you are just listening to music. Even worse is the display it uses in this mode, it just has a JBL logo in the middle of the screen that is static. So if you have a plasma like I do it burns in really quickly. I wish it didn't turn the tv on or at least have a screen saver of some sort. Other than that great product.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Amazing sound! JBL does not disappoint! Two reasons I did not give it 5 stars. 1) no option for changing SB to Bluetooth. You have to change on SB. 2) I don't like the wall mount. It just seems cheap and I was worried if it would actually keep it on the wall. But, it has just fine. Overall. This sound bar kicks (I want to use a different word) butt!!! Sound is perfect. Looks GREAT! Very well built. I highly recommend purchasing if you are looking for a SB. I purchased a cheaper one a month before the JBL. It is rated as a good brand and has great reviews, but there is a night and day difference. Trust me...quit researching and buy the SB400!! Worth every penny!!!!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par AWESOME This totally exceeded all expectations. I had previously tried several other soundbars w/ subwoofers, but they were either too tinny, did not have enough bass, were not loud enough, or a combination of the above. The JBL SB400 is very loud with a deep, rich, room-filling sound. I have a 30x25' room that opens up to the foyer, kitchen and a sideroom and the sound travels amazingly. I wanted something simple that had killer sound and bluetooth capability and this provided it. My only gripe is the remote being too small and other remotes not syncing well with it. I'm a musician and audiophile so to be impressed by this... it's saying a lot. I highly recommend. PS: I'm the most skeptical consumer when it comes to audio. This is definitely worth the money.

Rated 5 de 5 de par HIGH 5, JBL, I purchased this unit last year in November, it was a recertified product which is sent back to the factory, for cleaning and retested, the price was great, I was happy to finally get my SB400, after many trips to the store, nothing compares to the product, xcellent bass, thundering sound, looks great on the wall, good quality, set up was easy, once the sound bar is dialed in with the sub.It is awesome. I recommend all jbl products.

Rated 5 de 5 de par it's simply awesome My house is small and my surround system was finely giving me trouble after all these years so I needed to do something. I decided to give this soundbar and sub a try despite some not so great reviews. I started off having some issues with my wifi once I hooked everything up and realized I was running too may things on a 2.4 frequency but since I have a duel frequency router, I moved everything I could to the 5 and no more issues. The sound is crisp and clear and I have no problems with the connection to the sub but believe I would have if I kept everything on 2.4. I'm thrilled that it has Bluetooth and so many HDMI connections so I have more options. JBL has never let me down in quality and value and this soundbar is no exception. Over all, just a few adjustments for me and my world is full of ear pleasing sound and worth every bit of the effort and purchase price.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Smart Speakers = Smart TV I bought this speaker set at Christmas for my new Samsung TV. The engineering that went into this set of speakers is outstanding! Once you get the subwoofer dialed in, the sound is seemless. If you have never known JBL, you should know JBL. This... is... what... they... do. They build speakers that are amazing and nearly indestructible. I know this review sounds way too enthusiastic, but, it is true. I have learned over many years of sound reinforcement that when JBL is on the label, your life gets much easier. It doesn't matter what system you are working with. Please, don't take my word for it. Just try them. You won't be sorry! WORD!

Rated 5 de 5 de par GREAT SOUND BAR I shopped all brands and price ranges of sound bars and the SB400 is the top of the list. Most sound bars either give good vocals or bass but not both. The SB400 fills both of those areas perfectly. I just set up my SB400 Refurb and couldn't be happier. Crystal clear vocals, very responsive bass. Pared with my tv volume control easily. Only disappointment is that the on-screen display doesn't work with my tv, but small issue to have such a nice system.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Very disappointed I bought the SB400 about a year ago. It was working fine but then these strange popping noises started to show up. At first I thought it was the TV who sends these noises but then all of the available inputs on this device started to do it also. Suddenly while watching a movie the sound bar made this loud popping sound and nothing else worked well since. Now it sounds like you are watching a Beta Max of VHS movie with that horrible sound quality. Totally disappointed because it is an expensive piece of tech and ONLY 1 YEAR WORKING it is very frustrating. If warranties does not cover this poor but very expensive item; I'll never purchase something from JBL again.

We had a power outage and the sound will not work even though the power works fine on both the subwoofer and soundbar. I attempted to play sound through the optical, bluetooth and aux options. Is there a reset to this system? If not, what do you suggest?

We have a JBL Cinema SB400.  We had a power outage.  The unit is plugged into a power strip and seems to be fine.  But we are not getting sound?  How do we reset the unit?

I have the soame issue. There was a power outage and the sound stopped working. Power works fine on both the soundbar snd subwoofer. No sound after trying to connect through aux, optical and bluetooth. Please advise if there is a reset.

I am really missing a button on the remote to select a bluetooth source. 1. Is there another way to let the soundbar switch to bluetooth, without having to walk over to the sounbar? 2. Could I program a universal remote to select a bluetooth source?

hi best thing would be to use ur phone infrared and use anymote app to link with your sb400. using ur phone remote u can change the source as well . Make sure ur phone has infrared though. unfortunately newer phones tend to skip infrared .

Ik heb de soundbar nu 1.5 jaar in bezit en alles werkt goed, behalve dat de bass soms wegvalt als ik op apparaten met de wifi verbonden ben? En dat regelmatig andere mensen van buitenaf met de blutooth verbinden. Is daar niet een blokkade op te zetten?

Hi Gijs, Het is niet mogelijk om de Bluetooth uit te zetten, wanneer je zelf niet via Bluetooth bent verbonden met de SB400. Dat het basgeluid wegvalt wanneer je apparaten via WiFi verbindt, kan te maken hebben met de 2.4Ghz frequentie waarop jouw draadloze netwerk staat ingesteld. Ik wil je hiervoor eens aanraden om het 2,4Ghz kanaal op de router te veranderen ( gebruik dan kanaal 1, 6 of 11 ). Dat zou het probleem moeten oplossen

I have it connected via ARC to my Sony KDL-55W900, it turns on and off with the TV and passes sound through fine, but can't control the volume with the TV remote. The TV sound settings it set to audio system, possible HDMI cable version issue?

The remote for my soundbar is not working. When I hit the power off button on the remote, it increases the volume on the speaker. When I decrease the volume on the remote it increases the volume on the speaker. Any thoughts?

First, I've had my SB400 for around 5 years and I love it. That being said, others can bluetooth in - the speakers have come on when I haven't touched it (kinda creepy). How do I prevent this? Also, my dog ate the remote, how do I order another?

Is there a way to hard wire the subwoofer to the soundbar? No matter what i try, re-syncing, power off, power disconnected, ect they unpair about every 3-5 mins sometime much more frequently. Great unit great sound just cant use it like this.
